I changed the springs and shackles on my 65 now they squeak. Any suggestions. I got the parts from Mustang Plus. They are the standard shackles not heavy duty. Could it be from overtightening?

Are they polyurethane bushings? They are famous for squeeking.

I don't think they use the poly. bushing on the standard shackels. Plus would poly squeak even when new?

Were they hard plastic, or like rubber?

Is the squeeking from the bushings or in between the leaves? Maybe you just need a spritz of silicon spray.

Also, polyurethane bushings would definitely squeek even if they were new. More so than stock rubber.

My springs from mustangs plus also squeak, I haven't had a chance to check it out yet, my guess is the leafs squeaking against each other.
