1st question: Is there a difference between 65' and 66' Mustang Frame to engine mounts? Second question: I have a pair of six cylinder mounts, and a pair of V-8 mounts, how can I tell which is which? Is there a measurement to take? Thanks for any ideas.

Only going by memory here... but the 65-66 are the same. The 6 and 8 mounts are different, because the 6 mounts come up to meet the block. ------------------ '72 Mustang Sprint Coupe 351C 4V/FMX/4.30 Trac Loc '94 F-150 XL 5.8L/E4OD/3.55 Limited Slip '97 Probe GTS 2.5L Disposable Commuter "Keep your driveway all Ford!"

Yep there is a difference. Well, let me re-phrase it. Early 65 is different. Late 65 is the same as the 66.Early has a mount on top, rounded piece of metal, bolt on bottom (stud) that drops straight into the frame mount.

All HIPO and early 65 as Eric says use a metal motor mount with a rubber biscuit to insulate it from the frame mount. The 66 and up use a one piece motor mount for the V-8 cars. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member Fleet of FoMoCo products Moneymaker Bio US Class Nationals link
