Which motor mounts and brackets shoud I use for a high performance engine (289) on a 1965 Mustang. The brackets attached to the frame do not look adquate compared to other brackes/mounts I have seen form (67 stang).

The 65 motor mounts are indeed different, but I don't know if one style is better than the other. If you want to go with the later motor mount set-up, I have a set of the frame brackets you'll need and I'll sell them CHEAP.

Nash If you are considering a concours restoration with true Hi-Po motor mounts, expect to pay a bunch. No one reproduces the mounts. I have seen $500 for a set. The A and C code are reproduced and are readily available in used condition. My K code still has the original mounts. If you are concerned try the 66 mounts.Mike

The engine is not a tue hipo but hopefully will be perfomance enhanced regular 289. I am not interested in concour restoration but was just concerned after looking at the 65 mounts as I am unfamiliar with them. What has been your experience with them and is it worth changing as I am already missing the piece that looks like it is bent that goes over the insulator. Thanks
