just a question here...
what do I have to swap to go manual?
not counting rerouting my water pump belt, just swap the centerlink?
just getting tired of fixing and worrying about my power steering parts.
gracias

talking about the steering box itself?
why? other than an easier steering ratio?

Hey merc it is just a ball joint that replaces the valve on the end of the center link. all u have to do is screw off the valve and screw on the new joint and hook it to the old pitman arm.
oh and the reason steve said change the gearbox is because the splined shaft is diffrent size on manual and power gearboxes.
good luck on whatever you do.

I just put one on my car last night. Years ago I put a 74 Maverick PS system on the old coupe. I wanted to convert back to manual without having to find all the odl Mustang stuff.

I can verify that the 67-70 Mustang adapter fits the Maverick center link to convert back to manual steering. EVery easy to install.

got mine from www.restoremustangs.com for less.
