Anybody know what the difference is between 73 and 71-72 351c motor mounts? The 71-72s are available everywhere and the 73s are not.The million dollar question is whether or not the 71-72 mounts will work on the 73? Curiously, even the Mustang aftermarket suppliers who sell the 71-72 mounts don't have a clue as to them bolting in a 73.

The 73 mount has a piece of steel wrapped over the top of the rubber insulator and is riveted to the bottom base. this was to keep the motor from coming up if the rubber failed. I think it was part of the safety requirements like the larger front bumper. It may be slightly taller than the 71 or 72, but I am not sure.
