I am installing the pushrods in my cleveland and man is it a pain to get the rocker arms centered on the valves (roller rockers, screw in studs, and guideplates). I should be ready to install the new engine later this week. Thanks for any tips, Tom

What kind of alignment problem are you having? My Clevelands assemble dead straight without having to do anything. ------------------ SteveLaRiviere/Administrator Mustangsandmore.com T-shirts Available!!! Everything lines up ok, but I am trying to get the rockers centered on the valves as precisely as possible. There is a little room for shifting the guide plates (manley) to center the rockers on the valves but it often moves when torquing down the studs. I just have to keep moving them and torque them down carefully to get it centered. This is why some folks cut the guideplates in half to line up each rocker independently instead of having to do two at a time. Thanks, Tom

I like to slot the guide plate stud holes just a bit myself 72. I then crank one with an open end wrench to center the rocker, then torque the studs. Alex------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator
