Does anyone know of an online plug cross reference? I want to check the various brands for part #'s that will fit my Windsor Sr. heads. Thanks, David Cole

Dave, I don't know of any online reference charts, but, if you have any friends that work in a parts house, (Auto Zone or Advanced) ask them if you can look in their master catalogs. I had to do that to find plugs for my Edelbrock heads. Edelbrock recommends AC or Champion, to close to brand-x for me.Mike

Try alliedsignal.com. Then go to the Autolite section. Alex------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator

The address just needs a www in front of it. www.alliedsignal.com I looked it over, though and I couldn't find any info about the Autolites. Just memos about air brakes and things like that. ------------------ SteveLaRiviere/Administrator Latest Update: Mustangsandmore.com T-shirts Available!!! Thanks,I didn't get any paperwork when I bought the heads a couple years back so I don't know what the factory recommends. I did e-mail World Products (the mfg of the heads) and the said to try Champion V59C. This is a race plug that no stores in my area carry. Also I have never had good luck with Champion. I have been using Accell #276S. The last speed shop in my area just went out of business so I can only get these mail order now. I have been told that the Accel is just a repackaged NGK plug and I like them. I would like to go one step hotter then the 276S. Here is what I need. 14mm, taper seat .460 reach, 5/8 hex, regular tip. I would like one step hotter than mid range. NGK or Motorcraft would be first choices, Autolite 3rd. Ohh... I fished arounf on the Allied Signal site and manged to find a link to www.autolite.com, but it won't connect. Thanks, David Cole

Motorcraft and Autolte are the same plug manufactured in the same building by the same people. The difference is the lettering dye for part numbers and name on plug. Don Ward is the racing rep at Allied Signal for Autolite. 419-436-5824. He should be able to answer anything you need.Tony.

The Motorcraft Catalog has no cross reference for Champion V59C or (naturally) Accell 276S.By your plug description-14MM-Taper Seat-.460 Reach- Reg Tip (Non-Extended Tip)...here are your choices in Motorcraft; ASF8 (Hot) ASF4C ASF4C-6 AF3C (Non Suppression) ASF3C AF2C (Cold) Extended Tip- AF52C (Non-Resistor) AS52C AS52C-7 AF42C (Non-Resistor) ASF42C ASF42P ASF42C-7 ASF32C ASF32P ASF32C-6 ASF22C Numerical Coding First Number... shows plug heat ranges from zero up. Double digit numbers 10, 11 and 15 are exceptions to general rule and designate very hot plugs. Second Number... indicates the type of tip design on the plug. No second number indicates non-extended tips. Heat Range Numbers Indication Examples 02 thru 09 Extremely Cold AF092 0 thru 3 Cold A2C 4 thru 7 Medium ASF4 A7C 8 thru 10 Hot BTS10 15 Ext. Hot TT15 This is general information published in the Motorcraft Spark Plug Catalog and can be reviewed at most any Ford/Motorcraft Dealer on request. Hope this answers your question about Motorcraft Plugs. Think it is kinda natural that Autolite is Ford's Spark Plug Vendor/Supplier seeing as how Ford use to own them? If I can answer anything else (if I have answered this question) let me know.
