My 1970 Mach 1

I had the factory 4V manifolds ceramic coated at Jet-Hot. I may change to headers at a later date, if I can
work out the problem of the tight fit of the original Mustang power steering infringing on header placement.

The exhaust kit is a Motive reproduction kit bought from NPD. Like the original
351C 4V and Cobra Jet cars, it's a 2 1/4" system with H-pipe.

It gives a nice original look to the underneath, and like the original features one piece muffler/tailpipe assemblies.
{No clamps on the aft section of the mufflers.}

It's tight, but fits well.

The fit was pretty good, with the exception of the tailpipes, which took a bit of fabrication.
The right side needed 5 inches added to the length, a straight pipe did fine.

The left side, however, was a bit more involved. It needed some bending in addition to an additional 10 inches.
It took us two tries to get it right, after we figured out the bend we copied off the supplied pipe gave the tailpipe a wrong angle.

Finally we got it exactly where we wanted it.

The tips are stainless steel reproductions of the original rolled tips used on 351C 4V and Cobra Jet Mustangs in 1970.
