1977 Ford F150 2wd Camper Special. It came with the 460 from the factory. That engine lasted 2 seasons of burnout competitions and was starting to get tired. This spring the truck went through an engine rebuild and was put together by BLStangin and myself. The new 460 is out of a 71 Lincoln Mark VIII. D0VE heads that have lots of port work done to them by BLStangin's dad. Used BBC rocker studs and the stock rail type rockers and we were able to have adjustable valvetrain. 10.5:1 compression. 750 Holley Double Pumper, 204/214 @0.050 cam, c6 trans, 3.00:1 mini spooled 9" rear. Holds about 5800 in 3rd gear with 31" tires on a burnout pad. That is right around 178 mph and it all is done in the 30 second run we get! This 460 has seen 7200 rpms a couple times and it still has the stock rotating assembly. It's just a matter of time before the stock cast pistons decide to break. One of the cool features of the truck is the mini stacks in the box. My dad fabricated up some dual exhaust that comes up in the middle of the box. The pipes are only about 18" above the box floor so they aren't really visable from the side. That really helps push the smoke up as seen in the pic.
