MidLifCrisis's {Charlie} '67 Mustang Convertible

Incredibly Original 1967 Mustang Convertible. Base model with 289 V-8, C-4 automatic transmission, and power steering.
Current upgrades front disc brakes, 1" front sway bar, and export brace added for performance. Aftermarket AM/FM
radio with cassette player and kickpanel speakers added for comfort. The engine rebuild was done
during the extreme winter weather we had on the east coast during February '03. Under the stock air
cleaner is a Holley 600 with vacuum secondaries. An Edelbrock Performer intake is painted to match
the engine which was bored .030 over. The heads are stock 289 2V heads with GT-40P valves, roller-
tip rockers and ported exhaust runners. Hi-po exhaust manifolds dump into 2" duals with H-pipe and
turbo mufflers. The camshaft is a Compcams XE262H, and the transmission is a stock C-4.

By no means a drag car, the engine offers plenty
of power even with the stock 2.79 rear gear.

My latest acquisition is a '69 Torino GT. It has a 351W, C-4 trans, 9" rear, and enough rust to keep me busy for years doing this restoration.
It's definately a long term project. The plan is to restore it like an old NASCAR racer. Very plain and clean. Time will tell....
